Kruz and I decided to have a last minute date night at the Philadelphia Flower Show, which is the largest horticultural event in the nation. I like to think I have a bit of a green thumb, and Kruz knows that when I’m feeling down, a quick trip to the Lowe’s garden center cheers me right up, so this was a perfect date night opportunity for us!
The flower show has huge floral art-like exhibits throughout the Pennsylvania Convention Center, and marketplace where vendors sell everything from flowers to handmade jewelry. The floral exhibits were so inspiring for me, and I left with so many ideas to implement in our yard this spring.
We plan to build a little pergola-type structure like this for me to hang plants this summer, and we also saw an adorable little herb garden using pallets on a wall that we want to try out. Now we just need some warmer weather and sunshine already so we can get started on all this gardening!
I’m not gonna lie, I planned my outfit knowing there would be plenty of yellow for me to blend in with! HAHA! I was hoping to dress “springy” but it was a frigid day, so I went with this layered yellow look. My striped peplum blouse is by a brand called Feather Bone from Anthropologie and my yellow, fringed sweater is from Sincere Sally (use my code: ALICIAA25 at checkout for 25% off). My jeans are Paige and my white booties are my FAVORITE booties ever!! They are Jeffrey Campbell Cromwell Booties. I have a sick obsession with Jeffrey Campbell shoes.
One more thing that I was super excited to see at the flower show was the Subaru was a sponsor! I just bought a new Subaru Forester Sport and absolutely love it! Seeing that Subaru is involved and invested in it’s target customer/community made me so happy to support them.
Thanks for visiting! XOXO, Alicia
